Ike has spent more than twenty years acting as external counsel in commercial and intellectual property matters. His experience includes advising corporate bodies, SME’s and individuals in respect of contentious and non-contentious matters concerning intellectual property rights, particularly trade marks, domain names, copyright, telecommunications, sports and entertainment. He also has a broad range of experience in commercial matters, ranging from real estate matters to international trade, commodities, insurance, maritime, energy disputes including Oil and Gas. He is particularly interested in alternate dispute resolution (ADR) and regularly acts as an arbitrator, adjudicator, mediator, conciliator and expert determiner. He also acts as an expert on Nigerian Commercial Law before international arbitral tribunals.
Highlights of Experience:
Acted as a sole arbitrator or adjudicator in over 300 awards and decisions covering a large number of commercial disputes in the UK and other jurisdictions.
Acted as counsel and represented parties involved in an international arbitration concerning a Telecommunications and Broadcasting contract valued in excess of 20 million US dollars.
Acted as expert in oil and gas disputes before international Arbitral tribunals.
